ABOUT
In 2011, Bob Swords opened Swords Marine Service as for mobile marine repair. But in 2013, he realized that he was out-growing his truck, and he expanded to the current location in Cobbs Creek, Mathews County, Virginia, a 1,200 sq/ft show and parts room, with a 2,400 sq/ft bay shop.

With four marine technicians certified from ABYC, Mercury, Airmar, and more, in combination with Bob's 45 years of experience, the shop has become a very busy hub for marine repair, motor and parts sales, accessories, and more. We take pride in our work to bring our customers quality repairs. We've also remained true to our roots by continuing our mobile repair service in addition to onsite in Mathews.
MEET THE TEAM
Bob Swords, Owner
Bob is a Mercury trained and certified technician with over 45 years of experience in the marine industry.

Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with family, riding his motorcycle, and competitive shooting.

Bobby Swords, Marine Technician

Bobby is a Mercury Outboard trained technician with ABYC certification that joined the family business full time in March of 2012.
​
On the weekends away from the shop he can usually be found either out on the Chesapeake Bay in his boat or off-roading with friends in his rock crawler.

Gina Love, Parts and Office
​
Gina joined Swords Marine in September of 2017. She has over 15 years in marine parts experience along with administrative knowledge.
​
When not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, on the water or enjoying the outdoors.
